There is a bog war going on between Sam Altman form OpenAI and Elon Musk of X.

Musk offered to buy OpenAI for 97B US $ and in turn, Sam offered to buy X for 97 Billion US $

Where do you think this is going?

I think this will heat up the competition in social media and AI industry and we will benefit from all this quarrels.

Musk is eccentric. I once remember him challenging Mark Zuckerberg for a boxing match. I think more than a feud, it was a joke

It seems people don't know that Elon is one of the founding members of OpenAi. They had a disagreement back in the day and he left OpenAi. I don't why he wants the company now. That man is pretty unstable.

It might be possible that when they developed the ChatGPT initially, they went the not-for-profit route and later when they saw the economic abilities, they converted it into a for-profit company.

Maybe, that is where the issue arose.

Also, I dont think it is appropriate to term him 'eccentric'. He is the worlds richest man and borne totally out of intellect and skills rather than dirty money.

Probably to expedite the development of Grok. If he were able to combine Grok with OpenAI, if might be lightyears ahead of what anyone else could do.

I think with Sam Altman signalling that openAI is running out of GPU, the tables turn heavily in favour of Musk.

With Musk taking a defensive posture for Grok, augmented by his all weather ally - Trump, its going to be a technological spectacle for all of us.

I think the rivalry between these two tech titans is a healthy one. Musk was instrumental to the formation of OpenAI. A change of objective was what put them at loggerheads with each other.
In addition, I will not say Elon Musk is eccentric. He is a risk taker with high risk tolerance. We need entrepreneurs like him to drive innovations and challenge the status quo. His attitude to risk has made him a fortune!
