The content on internet has become very difficult to filter. Even though one enforces parental control methods, out of nowhere, an adult ad may pop up. Surprisingly, this is becoming common on You tube, a once child-friendly site. Despite searching for something specific, after few relevant shorts, non-related videos starts to play which may contain improper message for children. How then, one monitors what kids may watch on internet without worrying?

Be in their business.

If you can't monitor certain internet activities, then disallow those activities and make sure you watch to make sure they don't violate that rule.

Too many parents forget that they're parents and act more like friends.

My wife is still in my stepdaughter's business, and she's 19. But it's important to keep her safe.

A lot of bad stuff can happen due to not monitoring your kids online, including human trafficking.

Great advice, with or without controlling devices.

My parental lock lets me lock the entire phone after X hours and set individual app usage limits. Because of this, my daughter can be on the phone for 2 and a half hours, but can only be on YouTube for 45 minutes. The rest of the time she has to allocate to communications or other applications.

As a parent myself, I know just how difficult it can be to filter what your kids see online, and my kids have been known to see things they should not have. Luckily, my kids tend to tell me when they see something that they feel they should not have an I do what I can to prevent them seeing things like that again.

The key to preventing any child from seeing anything they should not is to be sure you always know what they are doing on the internet and monitor everything.
