What mods and themes do you like? How would you compare it to other software? How do you feel about it, all in all?

My take is that the newest version isn't so bad. In fact, it's a shame there is so much prejudice against the software, due to a bad release in the past.

Anyway, I haven't used this software as an admin, though. I've only used XenForo as an admin (statement only in regard to paid software).

I used to use vBulletin religiously back in the version 3 days.

When 4 came along, a lot of changes were made that pushed many of us away, especially when the company sold. I left shortly after and jumped onto the XenForo train even before the lawsuits. I kept a VB license active until the lawsuits were done and went fully onto XF after that.

However, I have purchased a few vBulletin 6 licenses. I use one for my "general forum" and I like it a lot, I got to say.

I think XF can no longer compete with VB. Now it's more VB vs. Invision because it offers a suite of products in one versus XF requires you to purchase addons to get the features that VB provides. In fact, vBulletin has sort of left XF behind in terms of being featured.

I'd still use XF over vBulletin but I'm definitely not hating VB6, that's for sure!
