The issue of open marriage as been coming up in my mind lately. What do you think is the concept of being married but having the freedom to involve someone else in your life? Is it likely to work in the long run or will it go downhill? Share your thoughts!

Open marriages are really tough, I suppose. Having someone secure and trusting enough to grant you freedom sounds amazing. But still, jealousy and insecurity can creep in despite the two of you being really relaxed about it. Definitely not for everybody.

I'd advise people looking into open marriages to really set their foundation on a pretty solid trust, communication, and boundaries. They need to be having very open, clear conversations about their own comfort levels, and have clear boundaries to avoid hurting their feelings and misunderstandings. Who knows, if both are okay with the idea, it might even bring the couple closer.

What's the point of marriage if you want an open marriage?

Just don't get married in the first place.

A marriage should be a sacred union between two people that should be revered. If you want, or think that you would ever want an open marriage, just stay in the dating pool.

Open marriage and open relationship is only giving room for either of the partners to cheat and not be loyal.

Whoever brought about this concept of open relationship or marriage came from the pit of hell and God will punish the idiot.
