movie On Fire (2023)

I picked this movie at random from the suggested movie list on my TV. I wasn't expecting much from it because I didn't see much about it except what was shown in the short trailer, but it ended up being an alright movie that pulls at your emotions.

It's based on a real event, and the story felt just as intense and exciting as a Hollywood movie at times. It was hard to believe what the characters had to endure. The ending was a relief, and the direction was pretty good.

Still, there were some flaws, like some not-so-great acting, except for the grandpa, and graphics that didn’t quite hit the mark, which made it feel like a so-so TV movie at times.

Is this something that you would sit down and watch?

On Fire has a very simple storyline, and I wouldn’t really say that it’s very memorable, but it isn’t a terrible movie to watch. The authors Ron Peer and Nick Lyon are not introducing anything new here.

The entire cast list consists of some notable actiors which include Fiona Dourif, Glenn Morshower, Peter Facinelli. Also a director of the movie and the last but not the least Lance Henriksen. Hence, I would say that the casting of the film was perfect.

On Fire has a very wonderful visuals. I never really doubted since the very beginning that the protagonists were actually in danger and they also looked quite real. The movie’s cover are more exciting than the film itself.

To be honest, this movie didn't resonate with me. But I'm not saying that it's totally bad, but it's a movie you can watch to pass time.
