discuss No plans for US tourneys: Premier League

It is truly unfortunate, given the huge popularity of Premier League in USA and across the Atlantic.

Not much is known about the reason, but I am curious what would be major points based on which they decided to drop all plans for US tournaments.

What are your ideas?

It will be nice to see it happen given the popularity of the Premier League across the globe. I think many issues would have been considered such as the logistics, and travel commitments of the teams. But I would like a situation whereby the US will host the Community Shield just as the Spanish Super Cup is hosted in Saudi Arabia.

The Premier League should have taken advantage of the American tournament opportunity to attract more supporters. The Premier League should hold matches in the USA since its large supporter base can boost the revenues.

It does not surprise me that the Premier League declined to organize events in the United States. The requirements like venues and scheduling dates proved to be so challenging.

It's likely not working out for English Premier League and that's why they are cutting it short with playing over there in USA. I think most of them will now favor going to play in Saudi Arabia because of more money.

It probably is not a big deal. It's not like premier league clubs haven't gone on preseason campaigns to the US before. Maybe the league didn't seem it fit this time around.
