I’d say it had a more haunting feel than a straight-up scary one. I haven’t read any Stephen King books, but I’ve caught a lot of the movies based on his stuff. This one fits in with the rest of them pretty well. It's not as jump-out-of-your-seat scary as The Mist or IT, but it’s got this low-key creepy vibe going on.

Mr. Harrigan's Phone is from one of King’s short stories, and it did feel a bit drawn out. The beginning seemed to drag, but it did give some important background that helped with how the story unfolds later. If you're into something that's a slow burn and kind of eerie, it’s worth checking out. The acting, writing, and how it’s shot are all really well done.

A young boy befriended an old billionaire, and he found himself being able to communicate with the old man via the iPhone that was buried with him when he died. The billionaire is played by Donald Sutherland.

Craig, the young boy is lonely and he lives with his father. Later he was hired by Mr Harrigan, the old billionaire to read some stuffs to him. Their friendship becomes so intimate and genuine to the extent that Craig will tell him everything that is bothering him, even what he can't talk to his father about.

Mr Harrigan’s Phone is a tight movie and it was perfectly shot. I enjoyed it from start to finish. John Lee Hancock did a very good job on this. I recommend it.

Mr. Harrigan's Phone is a film about friendship and loss. It's quite interesting but I don't see any elements of horror in this movie. It wasn't scary at all. This film shows relationships in a very powerful way. I have watched it 2 times. So, I'm recommending it. It's a good movie.

Reelz:
It's a film that parents should watch. It'll give us another perspective as to how we should relate with our children. Craig was sharing some things he can't talk to his dad about with his billionaire friend
You are right! Craig's dad wasn't comfortable with it, but he just had to admit it later on the account that it's even better for him to have someone he can confide In instead of staying alone and keeping things to himself.
