suggestion Member of the Month

I have been on forums where they pick member of the month. They first ask the community to nominate their candidates and after the nomination is closed, they ask the community to vote. The one that gets maximum votes is rewarded as member of the month. They reward the member with a badge and some forum currencies. I think this could be a nice addition to the community.

What would be an ideal point in the month to open nominations? When should voting begin, and how long should the poll remain active before the final decision is made?

Also, would the winner of a January vote become the February Member of the Month?

They reward the member with a badge and some forum currencies.

A badge could work, but maybe we could make it even better by giving out SRS Tokens to the winner, which could be cashed out to cryptocurrency by the winner.

Runner-ups could receive LOL Coins, which they could use in the LOL Shop or save to eventually convert into SRS Tokens for cashing out.

Normally, they open for 1-2 weeks for nominations and 1-2 weeks for voting. Normally they decide the member of the month through this process for the next month. For instance, to decide member of the month for February, we need to start in January.

Having a framework like that in place is an awesome first step. Now it’s just about seeing if the community feels it’s something worth moving forward with.
