Using websites or apps in dark mode have being my favourite theme to browse in because it's more calm for eyes.

I don't like it when too much light is entering my eyes, it's why I do my best to reduce my screen time as much as possible.

Light mode or theme isn't bad but it's not what I'm comfortable with using.

Do you prefer light or dark mode?

I'm on permanent dark mode here. I haven't used a light mode any website unless I'm forced to because they don't have dark mode.
Please report any issues as I am on light mode and can't really have time to go color by color to see what needs to be changed!

I prefer to use light mode, but I use dark mode when I’m ready to go to sleep.🤣

The day dark mode puts me to sleep, it marks my end of using any website or forums because I even use my smartphone in dark mode before switching to forums and also go for the dark mode set up.

I use light mode on almost all of the websites/forums I use. Dark mode doesn't really sit well with me, seems to strain my eyes and is generally just quite annoying to me. I find it so frustrating when a website/forum only had a dark theme and doesn't offer anything light. It's likely to make me disengage after a while.

I don't think that I've ever seen any forum with only dark mode. It's always the other way round. They use light mode and not have a dark mode.

Forums in the gaming niche are well-known for having a dark(er) theme than most others.

If you go page by page of the forum directory viewing a screenshot of all of the gaming forums, you'll notice that it's like 50-50 dark-light mode, perhaps more using a darker theme as I didn't do a count. Compare that to sports forums that are majority light themes. It's important to note that both niches have the default view shown in the screenshots and the individual forums in the niche of both gaming and sports might have an alternative view, but the default views are majority dark and light respectively.
