It was a rollercoaster of emotions on Tuesday night when Real Madrid were handed a 3-0 loss at the Emirates. Declan Rice scored 2 fabulous free kicks and Mikel Merino added one more, leaving Madrid with a mountain to climb in the second leg.
However, knowing Real Madrid's exploits in the Champions League, this is far from over. They might just produced some moments of magic and they through to the next round, no kidding.

What do you think? Can Madrid make that comeback they are so well known for?

There is a Real Madrid team that can do that, and these current players look like they do more talking with zero bites. The match is going to happen in less than 23 hours from now. We shall see the outcome.
I'm already geared up to go and watch the game. Did you watch Aston Villa vs PSG yesterday or even Barcelona vs Dortmond?

That is exactly Real Madrid situation, the players talk more than they perform on the pitch. They gave themselves the illusion that remontada is possible, but without a proper plan to execute it.
Too bad they're gone from the competition, but I don't feel the slightest pity for them.
Time for other teams to get a chance at the trophy. 15 is a little too much.

To be fair, Aston Villa really exceeded everyone's expectations. They were so close to making that comeback. I wonder if Asencio didn't want to score against his parent club. He should have buried that chance.

They were very sloppy with taking their chances in the game. I could recall at least 3 good chances they failed to convert. Also, Emery make a very big mistake with his subs.

They had to believe in being able to do it. I wouldn't blame Real Madrid players for having their mindset on doing that being possible. Unfortunately, Arsenal was equal to whatever they brought.

I never had hopes of a Madrid comeback with the kind of players that Madrid have in their squads now. They don't seem to have the mentality for those kinds of comebacks. There was no way that Madrid would have staged a comeback with this squad

I agree. As long as Real Madrid doesn't do something about replacing Kross and Modric in their midfield, it's going practically impossible for the team to function well. Velverde and Bellingham can't do it alone.
