Age can become a real challenge for many. Living with elderly relatives can have its own pros and cons. However, is it right to leave your own parents in an old age home, while you are still alive, earning and able to support them? How can you justify that? Children should live with their parents and support them. Until or unless a parent suffers from some kind of mental illness, children should never leave their parents or force them to live in old age home. The main root cause of the problem should be assessed and addressed.
No it is not, and it should never be. Children repay their parents by taking care of them when they get old, not throwing them to the home for the elderly.
Not all old-age homes are bad. I really don't think kids should be shamed because they don't want the responsibility, but if the old-age home is bad, then they don't have a choice.
iy is not a bad place. especially with home that provide 24/7 medical care. Where there's opportunities for social interaction, relief from family caretakers, and safety. It would be enjoyed by the users
There's a nursing home chain near my hometown that seems to offer decent care, even if the people can't pay huge amounts. I'm wondering how that works.
