Artificial Intelligence!

The world right now is embracing it strongly and it's becoming more and more of a household name. You can use it to write, edit, program, and even give you a fitness routine that will help you get in the kind of shape you've dreamed of.

AI is so powerful that it's completely customizable to your needs.

But on the creative side, is it killing creativity or increasing it?

What do you all think and how do you justify your answer?

It is certainly killing creativity. When there was no AI I though harder and harder, and spent hours doing research, but now AI do the same thing in minutes. When I am not thinking harder and when I am not working harder, I am not exploring my own creative side. It is improving my work flow but it is also taking away my creativity.

It depends on how you are using it..it is increasing my creativity but I see a lot of losing creativity because extensive use of AI
I agree.

I was paying for ChatGPT until recently.

I've noticed that I can't ask it to give me information about certain things anymore because that is a premium feature. I then realized I did all that myself before ChatGPT and I had let it take that over.

Now I'm getting back to doing it myself and enjoying that once again.

AI is too easy to be mixed up in but I think it's still important to know as much as you can about it.

Based on my understanding, artificial intelligence is a two edged sword because it has both the positive and negative sides when applied to creativity.

On one hand, it enables artists to devote their attention to a more creative tasks because AI can take over the execution of repetitive tasks. On the other hand, the excessive use of AI is a barrier to originality because it can only create identical work which will lack human depth.

AI is not killing creativity. I believe it even helps to enhance creativity. Content generated using Artificial Intelligence is an excellent resource which only acts as the basis for creative work. Right now, I'm really looking forward to the changes AI will create when it comes to creative work and designs.

The thing is a lot of people are also creating websites using AI and that isn’t a good idea. Most websites that are built are the backbone of the owner’s creativity and using ai take’s all the away.

Where’s all the learning and developmental skills?

I completely second your opinion. AI should be looked at more as a tool to help creativity instead of a replacement for it. The time that AI gives back to us by automating tasks can also be used on much higher creative thinking.

That's a very valid point. The more we rely on AI, the more we hamper our thinking. On the flip side, I think it can certainly open up new avenues for forming ideas or seeing things from another perspective. We shouldn't just depend on it entirely.

That is an interesting thought! It's easy to become reliant on AI tools and forget that we can do things ourselves. If we understand the limitations of AI, we can develop greater creativity in ourselves.

When it comes to AI, I would say that it depends on how the individual is using AI as to whether it is increasing creativity or killing it. I use AI myself but I use it to help with my creativity and to help with ideas on what to write about. I have seen some people use AI in a way that it is doing the work for them rather than them using it to be creative and that is where I feel it is killing creativity for some.

When you solely rely on AI, that’s when you lose all your creativity. You don’t have any creativity left. It’s all the ai doing the thinking for you.

In my opinion, AI is killing creativity in a lot of ways but we cannot totally disregard its importance in certain areas. Truly, it has been a game changer in certain aspects but a lot of people still believe that AI generated content will make human beings lazy and it's completely true as it may stifle our creativity while others argue that it inspires creativity. In conclusion, I believe that excessive use of AI kills creativity.

AI is killing creativity for only those who doesn't know how to use their brains anymore but depend on using contents and ideas from AI 100% without adding or removing anything.
AI is a tool that helps to augment my skill and my creativity especially when I'm writing and I get lost in the middle of my work, I use AI tools as assistants to put me through and I continue from there. You can see that it's a very useful tool to enhance our creativity and not kill it.
