I discovered that upending my routine brings one out of it. For instance, I could head to a coffee shop or park and do my writing there instead of my usual work desk and room.

Alternatively, instead of writing in the usual time of day, I try early morning or late evening writing sessions to attempt a different way to trigger my creativity.
