We use computers to work, we use tabs to read and watch videos/movies, we use mobile phones to check social media, and most of us are spending hours on screen. We might not be able to limit our screen time for work related activities, but we can certain do it with fun related activities. How much screen time do you allow yourself per day?

I don't have a limit because of the nature of my work. However, I try to take some time away from the screen to read, listen to music, and nap to give my eyes and brain some time to recharge

I don't focus on screen time because screen time is usually a good balance between work and breaks.

Someone may see screen time as 10 hours and be like, "Woah, you're wasting your time just scrolling!" However, they have no idea that I'm in the back end of forums, editing templates, managing accounts, etc., and just interpret what I do on my phone as what they would do on theirs. If you go into the screen time settings, it'd be like 30-45 minutes on social media and the rest in Chrome, Gmail, Sheets, and a few other tools that I use (including personal financial tools). But, if I took a look at theirs, it'd probably be 5+ hours on Instagram, 3+ hours on Facebook, etc.

For me l only go online when it's time for working online. I can say that l have little to no time with social media sites for pleasure.

I totally agree. If you use computer or hand held devices to work it is not possible to limit your screen time. Even when you go to Facebook or Tiktok for running ads and marketing something, how can you set a limit.

I take some time away from the screen to read, listen to music, and do my gardening
Gardening!
I like it. I like to maintain non flowering plants, especially indoor plants, in my house. I like snake plants, pothos, aereca, zz plants, spider plants, etc. These plants are said to purify your air. If you spend time to garden, your mental health will improve..

I sometimes spend way too much time on social networking websites and on other such websites even on messenger which I do need to control. It's best to control our screen time.

I am not sure how to calculate this and how to get graphical representation for that. If you can make me aware then I'll try to upload mine.

It is easy to control the screen time and what I do is to restrict certain apps. I have plans for my work and have recreation time too. This allowed me to reduce the amount of time I spend on the screen.
