Sleeping is important, and even more is having quality sleep. Quality sleep means you sleep soundly for 7-8 hours without waking up frequently. Quality sleep is crucial for health, yet many people struggle with it. What tips do you have for someone who is not getting quality sleep?
 
I normally ensure that l get enough sleeping time for my brain to relax and rejuvenate for the next day's activities. This reduces the stress for sure.
 
To maintain good sleep, I make sure I go to bed early, also make sure that I create a comfortable environment to sleep in. I also ensure that there is no source of light, noise and I keep my room temperatures low as much as possible.
That's a great routine. I might have to follow that too. I think it’s a good idea to prepare a good sleep environment. When it comes down to light, sound and temperature, they are necessary to prepare yourself for a good night’s sleep.
 
Avoiding the use of mobile phones or laptops at least before 1hour from your bed-time can drastically enhance your sleep quality. Also, if you keep some rain drop sound playing in your room and have a dim light in there, it can help a lot too.

Being busy with your phones before bed can without any doubt interfere with the process of sleeping and that is absolutely not a pallatable thing to do. One of the main consequences of blue light hitting our retinas is that our brains are not able to detect that it is night time. I prefer not to use it before going to bed.

Interestingly you can also use your phone to assist you in sleeping. You can listen to white noise on your phone. White noise helps you to sleep faster.
 
I haven't had too much of a problem falling asleep for several years now. I think one of the medications I'm on helps me relax and fall asleep. There will be nights when I lay there and stare at the ceiling for a while, but I eventually fall asleep after finding my relaxation mode. Caffeine before bed can keep me awake, so I always try to drink one caffeine drink around lunchtime.
