off-topic Have you ever lost your wallet?

For threads discussing subjects unrelated to the main forum topics.
Never my main main wallet as I'm very cautious when it's out. I also have fitted pockets on my jeans where I'd feel if it were snagged and velcro or buttons to secure it on my shorts.

Crime is very low here. There are countless times that I've left my wallet with up to $1000 in it after a bank run on the dashboard of my unlocked car while quickly running into a convenience or grocery store. I feel pretty safe doing that, perhaps too safe.
Have you lost your wallet before?
But, I did lose a wallet that had sentimental value in our last move. It was the worn wallet that my dad carried before his passing.

I didn’t have any money in it, but I did lose my license. I had to reorder a new one.
Haven't lost a wallet with its contents, but sure have made a day at the DMV over losing this. It was so difficult to replace back in the day. Now, it's one-click-ship to my door.

I've lost my wallet before, and it happened when I had cash. Luckily, when I returned to the spot where I was walking, I found it.

I'm so glad that you found your wallet. I also found myself in the same situation but I was having about $50 in there. It was thrown away by my daughter. That time she was 3yrs. I later found it understandable my bed. Trust me, it feels irritating and stressful when one has to search for a wallet or a place you keep your money

I have not lost a wallet, but I have lost a bag that contained a lot of valuables. I still remember that bag (it was an expensive and good one) and the contents. I lost an international credit card I worked very hard to get, and the company never got back to me to give me another. I also lost a laptop and several expensive books.

As you can tell, I am still upset over that one.

My first wallet was stolen in my house when I was still a teenager. We lived in a shared apartment of 4 rooms back then. I don't know how one of co-tenants managed to sneak into my mother's room, went through our hanged clothes where I hide the wallet inside a pocket and took it. The person who did that was a real criminal.

I have lost wallet once, I did not have a lot of cash in it. I had a debit card which was expired. So, losing the wallet did not make me lose a lot of money. But I lost some important information that I had kept in my wallet

It's never a good feeling when you lose your items. There are somethings you would lose, it's going to be very difficult to recover them back. I would be upset if I were you too.

I have never lost my wallet because I am careful with my money, especially since I don't earn a lot and it would be difficult for me to replace any lost funds. I tend to be quite OC about my valuables and ensure that I keep all of them safe.

You simply haven't been unfortunate with falling victim to pickpockets. They are pro at it. You wouldn't know your wallet was gone until you want to make use of it.

I hope the information which you lose in the process of losing your wallet isn't something someone would easily find a way to use against you? But wait, what was an expired debit card still doing in your wallet 😂

Presently I don't use wallet, but there was a time I had one and I lost it, or maybe it was stolen, I can't really remember.
If you're using a wallet, it's better to try and avoid being in places where it's going to be tight to get through. It's the perfect spot where pickpockets are operating very well.

Yes that's true. At the moment I am not using a wallet though, maybe in the future I might decide to use one again.

Thankfully, It has never happened to me and hope it won't because I like to carry all my cards with me.
