Hacksaw Ridge is a story of Medal of Honor recipient Desmond Doss gallantry going above and beyond the call of duty to rescue as many of his fallen comrades atop a hill in Okinawa, Japan during WWII.

For the courage to rescue his fallen brothers, or love of one man to another during the time of battle, he got as many of them to safety. At one point, he was even being carried off due to his injuries, but denying medical treatment over another, giving up his place on a stretcher, until he was finally able to be treated, but only after he sustained another injury to the arm.

A great World War II Pacific Theater movie to watch.

The movie is based on an extraordinary story of Desmond Doss, a serviceman who actually refused to kill. This movie tells us that friendliness and righteousness are good virtues and it's always good to stand for the right thing even at the worst of moments or periods.

Hacksaw Ridge is more about the rights of the people and their beliefs, and a man named Desmond Doss, in the movie is after saving lives. He is an hero who does not always slash, but brave in different ways.
