I have been skipping my dinner and using fruits as a substitute for real meal during dinner in an effort to loose weight.

I know its not really good because your body is loosing fat, so what I do is that I take this fruit based dinner only for three days in a week and not when I am travelling.

Do you do fruit based diets?

I initially gave a title 'Fruit therapy' and then changed it to a more meaningful one.

I've never heard of this.

The only "fad" diet I've heard of is the Atkins/keto diet. I've only ever tried the keto once, and glad that I stopped when I hit the proverbial wall.

I'd say doing it only 3 days a week is pretty harmless. However, just reducing your calorie intake over 7 days could be just as beneficial for fat loss and not as harmful as this could be as your body still needs nutrients. That said, it's probably not bad if you're doing it for a limited time.

Just out of curiosity, what was the problems that you had to face while on Keto diets?

Your suggestion about a little calorie reduction 7 days a week is good, but my problem is that I am 'perpetually hungry'.

When I am hungry, now, I eat fruits, so not adding much calories into my diet at the same time still eating enough.

Other times, I drink water or just sleep. Haha

I have attempted limiting my diet to fruits but I later discovered that it did not work properly for me. Fruits do not contain the fundamental nutrients necessary for good health which include essential proteins and healthy fats. I eat the traditional food to achieve my weight control goals.

I had heart palpitations and I didn't think it was worth breaking that point.

I can see how that'd be an issue, to never get the "full" feeling. But, if you're tracking calories, you can tell yourself that you're not hungry because you have had adequate calories for yourself. It does sound easier in writing than in practice though, especially having dieted heavily before.

Have you tried tricking yourself with merely chewing? I find gum helpful when I'm feeling hungry.
