I used to watch a show called Man Vs. Food where the host used to visit different restaurants and attempt to eat very large portion of food. It was a great show. These days I am not watching any food and cooking shows. Do you watch food and cooking shows. What shows do you love to watch? What makes then a great show?

I watched the cooking gameshow "Is It Cake?" as I have a past in the food service industry.

It blew my mind that there are such talented people that can craft a cake (though, probably not edible, at least the outside) to look like everyday ordinary objects. I'm unsure whether the lighting had a play in it or not, but still incredible.

I sometimes watch cooking TV shows. The last one I saw was Chef's Table, which I really enjoyed. I also liked Sugar Rush because the contestants made delicious desserts!

I watched that too and had lots of dun with it. Have you watched the Japanese versions? They are utterly hilarious.

To the main question, yes, I watch cooking shows. They have made me a better cook for even the simplest dish. They have also made me enjoy cooking a lot more because I know the results will be worth it.

No, I didn't even know there was one.

But one thing about Japanese shows, no matter the genre, will be hilarious as there's typically a comedian or two among the group, even if they're not capable of playing the role. In this hypothetical example of a show that might not exist, Is It Cake?, it'd be a comedian who could barely cook Ramen, trying to bake a cake in the form of a Playstation or something, and it just be a pile of mush, but be funny and convincing enough that it is the best cake, having the judges rolling and prying out more details about the how it resembles a Playstation, adding to the humor.

To be honest with you, I also loved Man Vs. Food. The host has a way of making the eating challenges look like a lot of fun. But these days, I’ve been following MasterChef and The Great British Baking Show more. They’re awesome shows and it’s where you would see creativity at its best and the judges are cool too because they offer constructive criticism.

I have watched some eating contest before and it was fun! I think it was shifted to a program like Chef’s Table which I now find suitable for viewing. They demonstrate how people eat and how they interact too. They narrate experiences of different cultures in terms of the food they eat. It's a great way to watch what other cultures eat too.

Has anyone watched Nigella Lawson's cooking show? I used to watch her cooking show on Travel and Living Channel many years ago

Since I like to cook, I love watching cooking TV shows. Some of the cooking TV shows I have watched are Iron Chef, Sugar Rush, and Chef's Table.

I also enjoy watching programmes where people prepare food on the television. They make me attempt cook my meal in a defferent ways. I get more creative in the kitchen. I learn a new recipe. I have seen some shows like MasterChef. It helps me improve my cooking skills.
