I've found myself in a situation where I don't remember all the movies and TV shows which I've watched by seeing the name. I would've to start watching it again before I remember to have seen it. This is why some people keep a record of all the movies and TV shows they've watched over the years.

I have a record of movies and television programs that I have seen. It lets me recall what I have watched and perhaps some reasons why I did or did not like the content. I also get to suggest programs to friends and family if they care to know what to watch.

If these are recent films, then I do have a clear memory of what I saw and what I did not.

But if I dont have that, I will watch a few scenes and see if I can remember. If that doesnt work, then I will see the film if I am in a mood.

Films are for entertainment. I am not keeping a list of things that entertain me. It cant be made a hassle as far as I am concerned.

I track all watched films and television shows by using a spreadsheet application because I love to watch films a lot. I dedicate special time for this. This method serves both as a record-keeping for my watched film and a system for leaving notes and ratings to recall my opinions about specific titles.

I found this happening quite often and rewatched movies multiple times, not remembering that I did until a specific scene came on that gave me Deja Vu.

After this, I started tracking movies watched and when. It also lets me remember who I watched it with and when, so I could have more than just a memory of a movie, but a memory of an experience.

This is how I track my movies. Below is an edited spreadsheet (hidden column of personal notes) of movies I've watched since May 31, 2024. But, of course, these aren't all the movies I've seen. So far, I've logged 133 movies watched.

I record the movie title; release date; watch date; the venue, which if I see it in theaters will include the seats so I know which cinema and screen to know where the best seating is; and take a personal note to remember details other than the movie, like who I watched it with or what else we did at that time.
