Celebrities are accorded godlike status. We are often fascinated by their lifestyles, beauty, and appearance and we want to be like them. Consequently, we create unrealistic expectations for ourselves. We have forgotten that they are imperfect humans like us. The unrealistic standards we set for ourselves often affect our mental health. Do you think we idolise stars too much?

I think we do, and a lot of stars out there are so rich that they spend their money on drugs, alcohol, smoking, and other toxic traits. Not all of them, but many of them can be influenced to do so due to how much money they have and those around them. I've never idolized stars because I know they are simply humans with talent, which we can find in every human to an extent. Many celebrities have died over the years due to drug abuse or even being on the wrong end of the mental health spectrum, and I imagine being famous could do more harm to your mental health than good. I'd hate to be famous where I couldn't catch a breath without being plagued by people who find me approachable due to my status.
