How was your experience of coming out of closet?

To me, it was a fine experience. I had some initial issues as most of my family was in denial, but later, they took it well.

They took it well because I could explain to them that these are things beyond my control and that no one can expect a fish to climb a tree because its not how the universe has designed them.

My experience was almost same as I first denied and then accepted the truth about my identity. It is wonderful that you found a way to describe your perspective to your family.
