I ended up missing this in theaters, so I rented it for a watch instead.

Maybe I'm looking into this too deeply, but I don't think this is how a civil war in the States would ever unfold.

The Federal government owns all of the military equipment, which was seemingly acquired and used by the respective state Guards. The first thing a President would do would probably sign an executive order, keep it off the record for at least 24 hours, and order all Federal military (Active Duty) at those bases where the equipment was to disable as much as possible. This would've thwarted an attack on the Capitol, or movement towards it, by months to even a year or more, as the Guards would be too undertrained to fix the machinery.

I'm also talking about personnel weaponry such as handheld pistols and long rifles. There has to be an armorer on each base that could've disabled handheld weapons by taking the firing pins out, for instance, too. Ammo is not useful if you can't use it.

The progression would've been slowed to where the Federal government could step in and then the checks and balances, or Senate and Congress along with the Supreme Court, could have done their job to get a 3rd term president out by various means before a war could even be thought of.

The Civil War looks so intense. I would like to watch the movie. I’ll put it on my watchlist. The War journalists were risking everything to report the truth about what happened. It's really inspiring. It's a good job by Alex Garland. He directs the movie well and he makes it feel real.

This movie is a must-watch for you if you care about the truth at all times. Civil War shows the dangers that journalists face in reporting sensitive issues. I will keep watching this movie again and again. I recommend it to everyone.
