I get 6-8 hours a day, but it's broken up into 2-3 and 4-5 so that I can work stateside time too.

I've been doing it for years, and no issues (yet). However, I know it's recommended to be 6-8 hours of uninterrupted sleep.

Our bodies recuperate while we sleep and that translates to better mental conditions. Regular sleep and waking hours would synchronize our sleep cycle and aid better mental health. I'm really struggling to have decent sleep and it's affecting me lot. Is there a way to have a peaceful sleep?

Lack of sleep can very much cause depression. I remember many years ago now, I want to say around 17 years ago now, I was going through a period where I was struggling to sleep and would sometimes be awake for long hours, this drastically affected my mood and made me feel down and depressed. Luckily, I was able to get help, but sleep does help the body heal which can also prevent depression in some cases.
