discuss Blockchain Beyond Bitcoin

Most times when blockchain is mentioned, what comes to mind is Bitcoin. However, blockchain technology has numerous applications in various industries due to its decentralised nature. For instance, the technology can be used in record keeping and voting systems. What are the other uses of Blockchain that you are interested in?

I am really interested in meta verse, especially gaming. Back in the days I used to play a lot of blockchain based games, but these days I don't play games but my interest has not fade out yet

The only thing I think of right now with blockchain is to make some extra cash.

Sure, I know of the applications it has. But, I'm not too concerned with that as of yet.

I would love voting to be done on the blockchain, but we're years, or even decades, away from that happening. Could you imagine the current sitting officials signing off on a law to implement voting on the blockchain? It would essentially limit their power as there'd be no more voting booths, in the ultimate scenario, and people could vote from the comfort of their own homes. Elections would essentially become harder to win, with even more ad spend to target you everywhere you go before the big day.

We can't detach Bitcoin from Blockchain because it was its creation that served as the catalyst that brought blockchain technology into the public view but its actual capabilities run well past the digital payment systems we all know it for.

The technology captures my interest because of its capabilities in supply chain management, and cybersecurity aspects especially. What is more important is the capacity to build unalterable records, which is what we need in all our systems to enhance transparency.

The decentralized nature of blockchain technology attracts different sectors because it fits well into their mode of operation. Record keeping, voting systems, the healthcare are just a few of the fields that need the application of blockchain technology.

Subsequently, through its implementation, blockchain provides doctors with secure platforms to share medical information and to keep track of prescriptions and clinical trials. You can see that the possibilities are endless.
