Do you like to watch war movies? Well, I do because war movies shows bravery and hardship, it tells us about history. What are your favorite war films? Why do you think these movies are good? Well, some of my best war movies are Patriot, Braveheart (both featuring Mel Gibson), Saving Private Ryan (with Tom Hanks), Schildler's List (Liam Neeson, Ralph Fines), etc.

The reason why I prefer watching war movies is because they reveal courage and people’s willingness to die for their country. In this film, most events presented on the screen might help people to understand what soldiers had to endure during wars.

I have to pick Hacksaw Ridge because I consider it to be a motivational war film. It's a real life story of a soldier who single handedly saved the lives of many during the second world war. He is very brave in the movie.

In no particular order, these are some of my favorite war movies. I'm sure that I've left some (a lot) out...
  • Saving Private Ryan
  • American Shooter
  • Lone Survivor
  • 1917
  • Dunkirk
  • Black Hawk Down
  • Full Metal Jacket
  • Hacksaw Ridge
  • Fury
  • Enemy at the Gates

One of my favorite war movies is 'Platoon' directed by by Oliver Stone. The film was based on Stone's experience as a US soldier in the Vietnam War. Letters from Iwo Jima is also a favourite; it was widely received even though it was in Japanese language.

What do you guys think about We Were Soldiers? It is a movie featuring Mel Gibson, the movie is about Vietnam war. Mel Gibson happens to be one of my favorite actors in war movies. Brave Heart, The Patriot, Air America, you name it.
