news Batman Receives Hollywood Walk of Fame Star and Guinness World Records Title

On September 26, 2024, Batman will receive the 2,790th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. This makes him the first superhero to be honored with a star. The star will be placed next to those of Adam West, star of television’s Batman, and co-creator, Bob Kane.

Batman’s legacy spans comics, TV, animation, and film since his debut in Detective Comics #27 in 1939. His impact continues to resonate globally with fans.

At the ceremony, Batman will also be awarded a Guinness World Record for being the first superhero with a star on the Walk of Fame. Other Guinness titles for Batman include being the most adapted comic character in live-action films and Detective Comics being the longest-running comic series.

A fan event at Funko Hollywood will follow the ceremony. It will feature a meet-and-greet with Jim Lee from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wristbands for the event will be given to the first 100 fans who purchase Batman products on September 24.

Warner Bros. Archives will also host a pop-up exhibit at Funko Hollywood. The exhibit will display rare Batman props and costumes from his history in film and TV.

I’m so excited to hear that Batman gets such a special recognition for the Hollywood Walk of Fame. I think he's the first superhero to get this prestigious honour. I can't believe that Batman has been entertaining the populace for 80 years.
