After reading the Rotten Tomatoes review, it kind of made me hesitant to watch Back in Action.

Cameron Diaz’s highly anticipated return to acting in Netflix’s Back in Action isn’t off to a stellar start. The movie, her first in a decade, debuted on January 17 with a disappointing 26% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 23 reviews. Audience ratings are still pending, with fewer than 50 submitted so far.

But, I have to say that this is another critic bomb to ignore, and to focus more on the audience review now that sits at 62% for deciding to watch it.

This movie keeps your attention from the beginning with action and follows on with even more action and a lot of comedy to go along with it.

I'm not too big of a fan of action/comedy movies, as the genres somewhat clash. However, Back in Action doesn't seem to fit the bill of previous genre mashes that I've watched before. The exception I've made for this rule is for the Bad Boys series which has a good balance of action and comedy too.

Both Jamie Foxx and Cameron Diaz nail their roles. The children could've been better, but, you can't really expect too much from children actors in an A-movie debut, as there are few that they can pick from. That said, it didn't ruin the movie for me whatsoever.

I'd give this a 4/5 (or a Rotten Tomatoes equivalent to 80%).
