Most of these actors who play superhero roles tend to go through a lot of changes on how they eat and even their whole lifestyle just to fit the role. I have even heard cases of some actually learning a new language for a role. Henry cavil had to make a lot of changes for the superman role.

Cavil is a different type of actor. He takes his roles so seriously that he will go to hell and back for them. Remember him classing with the directors of The Lord of the Rings because they were not following the source material?

There are actors who alter their appearances a lot with reference to a certain movie. Christian Bale cut himself down to be really really thin for his role in ‘The Machinist’. For ‘Black Swan’ Natalie Portman trained for months in ballet dancing. This shows how actors strived so much to resemble their characters.

The Machinist is an iconic movie and is a great example of how an actor takes the role seriously. In Black Swan actor did not go through transformation but I do agree that she went through lot of training for Ballet.
