Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
In order to know what movies are coming to theaters, I keep my cellphone calendar open during pre-movie trailers and add them to my calendar in order to watch it when it comes out. This might be a pretty unconventional way of tracking what's coming to theaters, but it has worked for me, especially since I don't watch local TV to see what's coming, and if I did, it would be in Japanese, so I would ignore the trailer as just another commercial.

I didn't see Abigail being advertised before any of the movies I've watched over the previous year or its release would've been in my calendar.

However, while checking the theater listings for today, it showed up. So, I'll be watching this tonight.

Has anybody seen it?

That was not a typical vampire movie.

Twist after twist after twist — at least I picked up on the most obvious one in the beginning.

It's definitely worth watching!

I'm glad I got to see it on the big screen.

Based on the trailer this movie looks awesome. These creeps kidnap this young teen hoping to extort 50 million dollars from her wealthy father. Then when they bring her to their hiding place, they find out that she is a vamipre who wants revenge. Now how cool is that?

Not quite. But close.

I don't want to add a hidden spoiler since it's such a new movie.

You'll just have to see it and find out where you were mislead by the trailer. :-P

You're absolutely right about that. It wasn't what I had expected but it didn't disappoint in any way.

Mehn, her father was one hell of a monster vampire. I had only wished he had more screen time in the movie to see him wreck havoc.

Overall, it was a great movie.

A prequel to it would be great to see the hotel scene they spoke of unfolding as well as all the other deeds he did to those that he felt did him wrong over the centuries that also allowed him to rise to such power.

I think the girl playing Abigail might be too old to play the part, so it would have to be him raising her to turn out as she did in the movie. However, I might've missed something in that she might also be 100~ years old too, and not really a child.

As long as they don't turn it into a musical, it could be promising. 😂

I don't think they have enough storyline to make a prequel about his past life. If it was possible, they would have mosty likely started something about it by now. Unless, they are willing to improvise as the producers of Shogun intended to do after the first season.

You're probably right.

Some movies deserve to just be left as they are to not destroy or separate the fanbase. This might be one of them.

This is a super scary movie. It's funny that the kidnappers seem to be in charge of the situation, but it turned out to be the opposite🤣. The teenager that was kidnapped by them is much more dangerous than they envisaged🤣🤣. The cast is fabulous with special credit to the lead actresses, Melissa and Alisha. They make the movie very tight and interesting.

Abigail surpasses just a horror movie, it makes you see what it means to be a monster. This movie illustrates to us how failure to appreciate the abilities of other people can create a lot of trouble later. The suspense and eerie atmosphere that was created in the movie enhance the scariness. It's definitely a good one to consider watching.

Exactly. It wouldn't do the movie any justice if they try to spin it for another production and end up screwing it.

It's just like I mentioned about Shogun before. It was supposed to be just a one season TV show but after the first season, there was so many ways to move forward with it for another season which the producers saw before deciding to go ahead with it. Have you watched the show Shogun?

No, I haven't.

I'll have to look it up in my free time to see what it's about.
It's a Japanese culture and story based show. You're going to love it. The cinematography of the show was unbelievable. Hiroyuki Sanada won his first Oscar Award for his acting in the show.
