Movie information in first post provided by The Movie Database
A Brighter Summer Day is a film which tells about the Taiwanese life in far past 1961. The movie is both a real life documentary and a real life story. This one is about the teenagers who reside in the island. They enjoy sporting activities, and they listen to music and they incorporate both Chinese and American culture.

However, the movie also proves that there are some issue in the island as well. Some of the boys are in gangs, they fight each other. The movie is slightly confusing to me. But it’s still quite fun and helpful in passing the time while also getting to know about the Taiwanese culture.
